Care Fertility Bath Fee Schedule

This will give an indicative costs for various treatments available in our Bath Clinic.

Pre-treatment

Consultation

Your consultation will be booked for 45 minutes and your consultant will review your medical history and the results of your fertility investigations. At the end of the consultation, they will recommended an individualised treatment plan or recommend additional tests. If you do need extra tests there will be additional cost and your consultant may not be able to provide a full treatment plan until the test results are known.

Pre-Consultation Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your appointment any time before the 14 day cancellation period ends. Once we have provided the services you cannot change your mind, even if this is within 14 days of the date of confirmation of your appointment. If you cancel your appointment before the cancellation period ends, then we will refund any fees paid in full in relation to your consultation. If you cancel your appointment after the cancellation period ends, then we will still refund you in full provided you give us 48hrs notice prior to the date of your consultation. If you do not attend your appointment without giving notice of cancellation then we will not refund any fees paid in relation to your consultation. If you have completed pre-consultation tests, but choose not to attend your consultation, we will provide you with a copy of those test results and will refund any consultation fees in line with our cancellation policy, but you will not be eligible for a refund for cost of the test services provided. Further information is available on our website and in our terms and conditions which are provided at the time of booking.

Recommended pre-consultation screening (If you are providing sperm for treatment)

If you have had an AMH test or scan within the last six months, or a diagnostic semen analysis test within the last 18 months, you can share the results with your clinic, as these tests won’t usually need to be repeated.

Our medication is tailored to each patient based on their medical history and blood test results. 73% of our patients have a treatment plan with drug costs between £935 and £1,911. Some patients – usually those over 35 – need extra medication. It’s challenging to estimate likely medication costs, but they can range from £935 to £2,595. Please be reassured that we will tell you the exact cost of the drugs we recommend before you decide to start treatment.

When treatment with a fresh embryo transfer leads to pregnancy, we prescribe a medication known as luteal support. The typical additional cost of luteal support medication is £112.

Patients having a transfer with embryos created using frozen eggs are typically prescribed drugs costing between £150 and £410 to prepare their uterus for embryo transfer. When treatment is successful, we prescribe medication up to the 10th week of pregnancy. The cost of this medication is £225.

Our research shows that 33% of our patients do not absorb enough progesterone medication from pessaries. In these patients, we recommend injectable progesterone as “rescue luteal support” up to the pregnancy test and then up to 10 weeks of pregnancy. The cost of this medication is up to £795.

Treatment with donated eggs

Treatment costs include; consultation with a Care Fertility donation expert; nurse planning with one of our fertility specialists; scans and in treatment blood tests; sperm preparation; your chosen donated eggs; embryo creation (using ICSI where frozen eggs are used) and culture; embryo transfer; pregnancy scan or post treatment review appointment; counselling support.

Infectious screening for the egg provider

Infectious screening

UK law requires patients providing eggs or sperm for treatment to be screened for HIV and hepatitis three months before their first treatment cycle and once every two years. All UK clinics have to do this and please factor in the cost of these tests when comparing prices. If you are coming to Care Fertility for the first time and have the results of previous tests, you may not need to repeat the screening tests.

Refunds

If for any reason your donor does not complete the donation process, you will be refunded part of the known donor fee dependant on the stage at which the donor discontinues. A refund of £4,150 will be issued if the donor participates in any of the initial donation steps (counselling, assessment) but not infectious screening. This could be due to there being no sperm at semen analysis, or the donor changing their mind, for example. A refund of £950 will be issued if the donation process cannot be completed beyond the initial screening to the point of the final post quarantine screening. Once the donor completes the post quarantine screening, after sperm freezing, no refunds are payable.

Pre-implantation Genetic Testing (PGT-A)

This optional embryo selection treatment is recommended to patients where the eggs for treatment are provided by someone aged over 36 or to patient couples who have experienced recurrent miscarriage. PGT-A can only be provided in an elective freeze all IVF treatment cycle.
